When I import video files to Power Director 16 projects, the entire video shows as one large frame rather individual frames. Is there a setting that I’m not aware of? I’ve had the software for some time but am now finally in need to use it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
It is possible that the audio settings were changed or there was an issue during the production process. Try checking the audio settings in CyberLink PowerDirector and make sure everything is set up correctly. If that doesn't work, try re-importing the audio file or restarting the program.
If you removed the chip from your computer which had the downloaded video shots, it is likely that the edited clips on the timeline in CyberLink PowerDirector got disconnected. To retrieve them, you need to reconnect the chip to your computer and locate the video shots again in the software.
You can move pds, videos and images to any where you want and when you will oppen the "pds" file PowerDirector will ask you to browse the file .. select every file and you have updated your pds file with the new files location.
I bought Powerdirector 12. Is it somehow possible to adjust in the Easy editor to block or set up to not repeat the same video sequences. It is always show a few first seconds of the different shots again and again. I like to see other sequences of those shots, like move video every time 10 - 20 second forward. Is it possible? How can I do it?

When you create a video, you have the possibility to configure effects. What you need to do is to check the applied effects to your video because those shots are like a transition effect that can be customized with other or changed.
Check if your computer meets the minimum system requirements to run the software and try to update the application using the three packages from CyberLink Corporation web page. Also, update your video card drivers to the latest versions, close any other opened program and run the software using the Administrator rights. For further solutions you can go to CyberLink Customer Care.
If you want to upgrade your computer's OS from Windows XP to Windows Vista, you do not need to format your computer. However, if you do not format your C:/ drive ( where usually the OS is installed ) you will have 2 Operating Systems on your machine. It is advised, that before you install a new Operating System on a computer, you need to format the C:/ drive, so the new OS should be installed on a fresh drive.

The problem with lost pictures could be caused by the fact that the pictures took too much space to fit on the DVD or the DVD-RW is faulty and it doesn't write the data as it should. Unfortunately, to diagnose this error, you might need to fix issue in time. First check if the images don't exceed the available storage on the DVD and secondly, replace the DVD-RW device with another one.
