Guest But how do I get my old HI8 video's imported to my Windows 8.1 computer. I can't find an answer anywhere: I have a dazzle, that worked with my XP computer but not with my 8.1 computer....So what can I do? I am living in the Netherlands, so when I find something and I have to order it from the USA apparently I am facing very high extra costs , as I am considered to be importing high tech stuff....pretty desperate, because i really would like to save all these old tapes from when my daughter was young...

Guest The simplest thing to do would be to find a Windows XP laptop and use it to convert your HI8 videos. You can find a more modern camcorder.

Guest Maybe you could use Windows XP Mode (google it if necessary) on a newer Windows version and run your XP compatible software on it. Good luck!
